Senior Backend Engineer

About the Role

Join us as a Senior Backend Engineer to build the infrastructure that powers personalized health insights for millions. You'll design and scale systems that process real-time health data while maintaining the highest standards of security and privacy.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs
• Build data pipelines for processing health and biometric data
• Ensure system reliability, security, and HIPAA compliance
• Optimize database performance and query efficiency
• Collaborate with ML engineers on model deployment infrastructure
• Lead technical design discussions and mentor team members

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
• Strong understanding of distributed systems
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
• Knowledge of security best practices and data privacy

Nice to Have

• Experience with healthcare data (HL7, FHIR)
• Background in ML infrastructure or data engineering
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization
• SOC2 or HIPAA compliance experience
